Outdoor Environment
Macleod College is fortunate to have extensive grounds - nearly 22 acres in all. Our leafy school grounds have an abundance of trees and established gardens, offering students a welcome break from the classroom during recess and lunch.
Our students and staff have constructed two special gardens - an ANZAC garden and a Meditation garden for the enjoyment of our school community and both of these provide relaxing places to sit or walk. In addition, we have a soccer pitch, footy oval, basketball courts and cricket nets.
In our exclusive primary areas, students can enjoy basketball courts and garden areas including veggie planters, playgrounds, a sandpit and a fairy garden. Combined outdoor spaces for middle school students include the corridor in front of B block where games of downball and bat tennis are held at lunch time, and the grassed area around G block. The senior students enjoy the open space of the oval, meditation garden, basketball courts and ANZAC garden.
