Library
Our Library is a wonderfully inviting and inspiring resource hub that supports our students, teachers and school community. We provide recommendations, loans and reference services, basic IT support and a wellbeing space for everyone.
The Library is a flexible learning and social area. It consists of a full computer lab and a classroom with netbooks. The VCE study area provides a quiet space and resources for extended learning. There are reading zones dedicated to Primary, Middle & Later Years students plus lounge areas for small group work. The Literacy Learning Centre provides students with assistance for reading and activities. Outside of class time, we enjoy seeing students study, play games, discuss, read and relax. It is spacious but with cosy corners for everyone from Preps to VCE.
New resources, selected with the assistance of staff and student input, are regularly displayed and are inclusive of all reading needs. Along with the usual items, we have comics, graphic novels, magazines, audio books and study guides. The Library regularly runs literacy based events and craft activities for students and staff.
We are well resourced and supported by the whole school community.
The Macleod College Library is a resources hub and the community heart of our school.
Learning happens in so many ways and we are here to support all students, staff and our community.
The Library has engaging and dynamic spaces during class sessions and for socialising.
With knowledgeable staff that are always there to offer assistance.

The Library celebrated Harmony Day with an amazing artistic masterpiece made by our primary students. We read the book "I'm Australian Too" by Mem Fox and then created feathers that were each unique to the student and used words to express how they saw themselves. The feathers have been put together to make wings and be the backdrop for our photos. Lots of students from all year levels and staff came to capture a memory of Harmony day.
